im sorry but writing shouldnt be structured, our whole world is structured, we're told how to breathe how to live how to dress walk and talk, we have no freedoms, maybe you think that some of the pieces in here are 'god-aweful' as you say but to those that wrote them this is their story it's their right and their freedom to do as they so want. You have no right to tell them it's crap, unless of course you're doing it in a HELPFULLY critical way. Writing is the last non structural thing many of us have... dont screw that over for us as well!!!

You don't have to write in the way other people want you to write, but in the way you want to write... Write what's good for you, to exress what you feel need to be said and in the way you want to do it.
Literature was never meant to follow a set 'diagram' or path or anything like that. It is supposed to be expression of thought. Everyone thinks differently, and therefore everyone writes differently, and enjoys different peices of writing.

So, this topic is good in a way that it could be helpful to those who wish to follow it, but no good for people who want to do their own thing. And those who do their own thing are not neccessarily 'god aweful' writers.
