As I just posted, Im going to start running Linux in a virtual environment.

When I used it a few months ago, I experimented with Ubuntu, and I tried out Kubuntu and absolutely fell in love with the KDE enviroment.

Ive seen somethings about KDE 4.0, and it looks freaking amazing.

What KDE distro should I really be using? Ive heard a few people criticize Kubuntu, because it is pretty lacking as a KDE OS, but I havent tried anything else, so I wouldnt know.

Why not just use Ubuntu?

I want a KDE enviroment, because there are tiny small things that I like about it. And because KDE 4.0 looks like sex.

I have about 15 different distros for various things (security penetration testing, complete anonymity, wifi password testing, etc.) and overall, I really didn't like Ubuntu.  I would go with Fedora, Debian, or some sort of spinoff.  Backtrack 2 and Backtrack 3 Betas work great!

You can use KDE with a bunch of distros.  Now that you know what environment you want, you just need to find the distro(s) you like the best!

I've tried KDE with Linux Mint, PCLinuxOS, and Mandriva.  All of them are pretty good.  Well laid out, easy to use.  OpenSUSE has a KDE distro as well, I couldn't get the liveCD to work on this computer though.  Just make a bunch of liveCD's of each one, then try them out, see which one works better for you.  See which have the best compatibility with your computer, and/or which ones you just like better.
