Okay, so I don't want to sound like a whiny bitch, but seriously. People who don't listen to the same music as me shouldn't judge me by it. Well, I mean, music is really important to me, but honestly. I'm sick of all this crap. Some of music I listen to is often referred to as 'emo' . And then people call me 'emo' . Well I don't care if I fall into that made-up stereotype, but you can't label me! I am not like everyone else and I won't stand to be grouped together like that. Maybe I'm emotional sometimes, but that doesn't mean anything. 'Emo' doesn't even mean 'emotional'. The term 'emo' is derived from the kind of music from the 80s called 'emotive' or 'emotive hardcore' also known as 'emocore'. Society changed that recently so now the meaning's all screwed up, but people who still think 'emo' is meant to describe kids with dark hair who cry and cut themselves are just plain think-headed!! I mean, sure, some kids do cut themselves, but that doesn't make them 'emo'. Self-destruction isn't cool anyway. Well, I suppose it depends on who you ask...
Lots of people try to act a certain way. There are posers out there who think that what's perceived as 'emo' is cool or something. I don't know about that. But also, there are a lot of people who think that 'emos' suck and should go die. But those are the sorta of people who judge on appearances. The kind of people who might see a kid with dark hair and a lip ring and assume that because he looks like that he must be suicidal. And it's THOSE kinds of people who ANNOY THE CRAP OUT OF ME. Jerks who read this might say stuff like, "oh, only an emo would write all that crap about not being emo". Well think what you want. I don't care what stupid people have to say.
