Ok tell him that he can work out all he wants just keep the weights at 100 or below it is not safe to exert the body like that if he wants to stay in shape for as long as he cans he doesn't need to do pig headed things like see how much weight he can lift/bench/or squat what he needs to do is work on stamina it is more effective if you lift 50-100lbs for three hours straight then it is to lift 250 or even 200 for 30min to an 1.5 hours. I would recommend exercise where you use your own body weight that is what I do and it increases balance and strength but I focus on my flexibility the most as I am a contortionist
