So, I'm wondering what you all think about Ontario, and how they are dealing with smoking (cigarettes). Many of you don't know what we are doing, so I'll brief you.
-Drug stores are not permitted to sell cigarettes (sometime a while ago)
-As of June last year, it is illegal to smoke in any public buildings (where any sort of service is provided)
-They are soon passing a bylaw that forces stores to hide any cigarettes from being advertised, lowering the amount of children/teens who know about smoking because of advertisements and labels
-Tonight, and another session soon, they are going to be passing a bylaw that also makes it illegal to smoke in a vehicle while accompanied by someone under the age of 16.
Do you guys think that some of what they are doing isn't helping/worsening things, and what other suggestions do you think should be taken up on smoking laws.
Also, feel free to tell us what action they are taking where you live (state, provice, country, wherever isn't too broad but a known land mass) to stop smoking, and criticize it as well.
