Yes, but giving up your rights is pretty high on the list of bad decisions to make. I believe that the majority of people would regret it, so why let them?

Because it is their right to do?

We surrender our rights at least in part everyday for everything we do so why not for a contractual period thats perhaps years long (we already do this when people join the military).
