It's hard to tell without a photo or even a quick sketch or something. White is always quite safe and means you have a lot of freedom with things like wall-hangings, posters etc. Pastel pink might be pretty, and it's probably better than yellow as too much yellow can get a bit overpowering.
Oh, pink and brown are a nice combination at the moment - and pastel pink walls would go with that one as well.
Blue is a nice contrast to pink but might be awkward. Green, also, is a nice contrast but you'd need to pick the shade carefully. It could be very classy!
