as som1 said be4, vista is garbage and should be thrown in one. macs are not confusing, they are so much easier. people who say they are hard to use or suck obviously are just windows fanboys because unless they have an exact problem there is nothing wrong with macs as a whole...i can't say that much for windows. there is almost no getting used to, it is just very easy

Unless you're really really really into audio(pursuing a career in it, and even then you don't need one) then they're both the same shit in a different box.

I have both and love both.

The Mac is a little confusing, I mean, if it was so easy, i wouldn't be able to go into a Mac store and see people taking classes or bringing in their mac.. but guess what, they're always there. :)

Also, I challenge anyone to go onto their mac, or go visit a mac store, open up the Apple icon (upper left) and look at the item Force Quit.. next to it you will see the shortcut keys.  Now you tell me, how are those symbols intuitive in ANY WAY.. come on.. no really.  Take a look at the symbols, then look at your keyboard, take a look again.. :)

I've got spurs that jingle jangle jingle.
As I go riding merrily along.
And they sing, "Oh, ain't you glad you're single?"
And that song ain't so very far from wrong.

Mac is much better choice. <p> sakurag: This is because you almost never need to force quit application. What about Windows, if some program frezees, you need to restart computer. So what's simpler? Click three keys once per week or restart fucking computer every 10 minutes?

I'm not talking about the function, I'm talking about how to type those keys in.. what are those symbols, what do they mean?  I had to go to the mac store like a week later and ask.  And yes, I never have to force quit..

And I rarely restart Windows either.  I have programs crash all the time.  I think I've restarted both my PC's approximately 3 times in the last 6 months.  (Besides when updates happen - but both Windows and OSX require a reboot)

Learn how to use your machine properly. I've had a whole half-dozen lockups since windows XP CAME OUT. Most people just overload the system with too much BS and it runs like crap, then they blame the OS, when really its more user error.

I would go with windows (XP not vistas pile o crap) just because its so much cheaper and upgradeablility is so much simpler.
