I was just accepted to a residential high school, I'm 16, and I'm really anxious about meeting my new roommate... would you happen to have any tips on making a good first impression, and how to act during the first few weeks?

Honesty may be the best policy, but remember that, by
elimination, dishonesty is the second-best policy.

unless of course you are a complete fucking slob, as i am. try to be neat and tidy, not neat-freak, but decently tidy. any nasty weird habits you have keep to yourself.

If you have an overbearing personality or any weird quirks, try to downplay them until you can create a relationship with your roommate where that's a little more acceptable. Be clean, courteous, etc.

how would you want your roommate to act when they first meet you.
-not walking around like half naked
-noy cursing nd swaring
-just being themselves
-not trying to impress anyone becuase your gonna be living with him, so hes obviously gonna find out who you actaully are

Communicate. As in any relationship, living with someone requires a great deal of work. Communication is key in making the relationship work well long-term, or even for a short time. Be upfront about your expectations. Set boundaries and stick with them. This applies to food, clothes, possessions, loud activities, use of common areas, parties, quiet hours, cleaning responsibilities, and so on.
