My art teacher is a prude.

So, sitting in class one day drawing a picture of what was supose to be an angel, i had found it the day before and thought it was just beautiful.

And my teacher walks up behind me and tells me its not apropreate(sp?) because a breast is showing.

And I was left there thinking... we're in highschool... i'm sure all of us or at least most of us have, or have seen a pair of them...

You couldn't even see all of it... just the side view of her praying.....

I'm kind of confused... was it wrong of me?

It's not appropriate in a school environment is what your teacher thinks.  Cover up that part or don't have your art showing for the teacher to look.

I agree, North Americans are way too prudish about nudity.

However, it is a school environment, so the teacher has jurisdiction over them.

that does not always apply to the art apartment though

its kind of expected
your teacher is just an idiot

as the artist you have right of way

Your teacher probably just doesn't want to get in trouble with the school board for allowing you to draw a picture like that... Probably appreciates it any artist should but I meant there are school regulations unluckily...
