point in case, the magic far away tree, umerous surveys have shown that when the gender of the tree and the child are changed, so theres 2 versions, male tree female child or female tree male child; people will rate the characters differently on a scale for characteristics like generousity.
At ui my class seemed to find the that when the tree was female we voted her to be less generous than if it was the male one, but none of us knew that others got a different version, and the only thing changed was the genders. ps. well done if u made sense of that lol.
