Hello

I need some help choosing which content managment system i should install onto my website. I'm not a serious tech genious. I know HTML and can use dreamweaver to edit simple scripts and design but thats as far as it goes.

The CMS which are avaliable to me are

Drupal
Geeklog
Joomla 1.5
Joomla
Mambo Open Source
PHP-Nuke
phpWCMS
phpWebSite
Post-Nuke
Siteframe
TYPO3
Xoops

I know a lot of these CMS offer very different features. such as instant registrations and sign up for news letters. I'm only wanting a CMS for a personal website, News letters and RSS feeds are not feel neccersery.  Something simple, ease of use and which allows me to post pictures, videos, music and add links,  and static pages too would be ideal.

Thank You.

Well I only worked with Drupal, Joomla and Wordpress. Once you get used to them they are all pretty simple to use. If you have  a small website I would recommend Wordpress or Drupal but if you have any bigger projects go with Joomla.

Cross off Typo3 straight away. If it's a personal website, look further abroad for something more suited to what you're looking for. Ignore fantastico! or whatever it is that's offering those; packages like WordPress are more suited to what you need.
