Germany are pre-tournement favourites. Not overly bothered with the outcome, would just like to see some decent games.

Yea right haha Germany favorites?

They are favorites, they are the best team in Europe right now, along with Italy and Spain.

Poland beat Poland.  Podolski is Polish.

It was offsides. We know. Italy are without their captain, who is a defender, thats why their defense broke down so easily.

Romania saved Italy today.

mate your wrong watch a reply

the italian player pretends to be injured off the behind the goalline

instead of getting up and defending like a man he cost his team

he was not sent off the field by the ref

so is still deemed in play putting ruud onside

good decision

Onside. Article 11.4.1. of the refereeing code that states "an opposing player cannot be offside when one of the last two defenders has left the field of play" - as in the case of Panucci.

that is true

i think that they are getting too old

this may be a little too harsh but it seemed they were a little bit of the pace

but its only the first game they might prove their exprience benifical

anyway in from NZ and so i have to get up at 4 am or 6am to go to the pub to watch games

what time r they on in US ?

They're on here in the morning and midday.  I think Italy were missing their captain so their defense fell apart.  Agreed though that they are too old. Although, they always start out weak and get stronger.

. The announcers were screaming offside offside and I thought it was defiantly offside. But if what you say is true then the Italian player that got knocked out and was behind the goal made the goal stand.
Matterazi should have been better today.

It was onside; good call by the referee. Plus it wasn't just 1-0 or anything, it was a 3-0 thrashing and so the outcome wasn't determined by that one decision. I think Italy's chances just took a nosedive.

With Romania holding France that group looks set to go down to the wire.

Well most people here are big fans of the EPL, actually. Though they're all supporters of the big four, I'm one of the few supporting teams like Newcastle. I grew up loving the game... so I try to follow it as much as I can.

It'd be nice if I had cable TV so I can watch the games, even if they're played in the middle of the night for me.
