No-one gets kicked out of school for "their personality", You did something that got you kicked out. I'll suggest looking at yourself as objectively as you can and stop worrying about what is behind the metaphorical doors in your past. You are in a tough spot right now but it will get better. Your firend? Good for her. You can do...not what she did, because that is HER life and her path. Timing is not everything. I know it will sound a bit H.S, but counseling isn't jsut for teenagers. Talk to one. Set goals. Ask for and accept an objective view of where you are and how you can obtain your goal(s).
It's out there for you. It won't be easy or fast. But you can start by setting your goals and not worrying about what other people have done in their lives.
