Do you feel like you were not given a chance for things?  If so, do you think it was in an unfair manner?  Feel free to elaborate.  I don't think anyone will think that this manager position was picked unfairly once I choose the winner and make public the rubric and grading system I plan to use once all the applications are in.  It's very objective and thorough.

Awww, I'm sure it is.

I have to say this is better planned out (no offense, dovelove) than the last manager position I applied for.

If I knew there was a specific date, I would've made a better attempt at my application.

:/.

Oh well, what's done is done. You can't go back now.

Credit where credit's due, Annastasia was awesome. I actually noticed the work she did. Same for iamironman - I know his position, so he has to be doing something!

I'm looking forward to actually seeing the grading system, it'll give me some sort of know how on the matter, rather then feeling like I'm stumbling blindly... no offense.

It would help to also have actual given requirements to apply, like when you apply for support leader status.

The thing with the given requirements is that it isn't something you can measure. With Support Leaders, mods look at the application and see examples of them being supportive in addition to the written portion they submit as well. With positions like the Contest Manager and Quiz Manager, you can't have people submit examples like they can with SL applications, so it's automatically going to be a lot more subjective. So the requirements would be hard to define because you can't demonstrate them.

Alie is mostly correct...I could list requirements such as "has to be articulate" or "has to be creative" but at the end of the day when you try to prove that to me in your application the decision that I make is still completely subjective, and not something that can clearly be marked yes or no.

However I have planned very hard for this to be as objective and fair as possible considering the circumstances and you will see some of the things I was looking for once the deadline passes.

I don't doubt that either of you were objective as humanly possibly. It's very true that it's hard not to be subjective for something like this, I suppose. A lot of it really has to do with personal character and it's especially hard to judge somebody you do not know.
