Note: Anyone using expensive (MAC etc) clear nail laquer should try Sally Hansen Hard-As-Nails, which you can get anywhere. I handle a lot of dryness at work, and a lot of repairing parts with my hands (stupid minilab) and it really helps to stop my nails from breaking.

So, did ya like it?  Did ya?  Did ya?

Ok, it got here today.

I am very impressed! Apparently me shade is Sunkissed Fair (which I think means "Get a tan!"), and after applying it I realized that I have pretty nice eyes, and that somehow it really brought them out. I probably looked better today then I have in years.

I gave the blush that comes in the trial thing to my mum, and she likes it but doesn't plan on wearing it because she's crazy. (I didn't want it because, well, concealer and foundation are one thing for me, blush is another).

So +1 for everyday minerals, I've told my friends!

w00t!

And yeah, I'm also Sunkissed Fair.  We both need sun.  Did you use a good quality kabuki (is that the way it's spelled?) brush?  If not, try it with one...it's even better.

It's actually cleared up my skin a bunch as well.  I have very dry skin, and it would peel all the time.  I use the Original Glo formula and it's completely taken the dry skin away.

How often do all of you replace makeup? I remember reading a while back you should do it every something or other months. Any ideas? Or do you just buy more make up when it's finished?

I've always been told 6 months to a year.

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara Waterproof (12,5ml): £4.99 ($10.01)
Maybelline Dream Mousse Bronzer (18ml) : £5.99 ($12.02)
Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush (7ml) : £5.99 ($12.02)
Rimmel Recover Foundation (30ml) : £6.49 ($13.02)
Natural Collection Solo Eyeshadow : £1.69 ($3.39)
Nivea Lip Care Gloss (10ml) : £3.19 ($6.40)

Thats what I'm using at the moment.  The maybelline products were on 3 for 2 at Boots and I get staff discount so I thought I might give them a try.  The bronzer I've used before and it is absolutely excellent, I use shade 03 bronze/ambré but they do 3 other shades depending on your skin tone and it is really easy to blend and has nice little light reflecting parts in it and it lasts absolutely ages...seriously, I've only just had to replace the pot I got last summer and I use it almost everyday.  The blusher I really like too but its hard to use it with the bronzer which is a bit annoying because I've found I have to choose either one or the other.  Mascara seems good...I wish I got the normal one instead of the waterproof one though because it is an absolute bitch to take off.

Hair stuff I'm using at the moment is Lee Stafford Shine Head Range..
I was a bit unsure at first about buying it because it is alot more than I usually would spend on just shampoo and conditioner but I had a voucher & my staff discount so I thought I'd try it.  It is absolutely excellent...I've tried other slightly more expensive brands in the past and been dissapointed but these products are lovely.  They smell really nice and make my hair alot softer, less poofy at the roots and easier to straighten..my hair is very thick and course usually and quite dry.
The packaging is also super pretty too!!

Shampoo : £3.99 ($8.02)

Conditoner: £3.99 ($8.02)

Heat Protection Spray: £5.99  ($12.05)

Oh my goodness! MAKE-UP.

Concealer: I own Clinique's quick corrector and I really like Lancome's under-eye concealer.
Foundation: Clinique's Perfectly Real (very sheer coverage) or Lancome's Teint Idole (a bit more coverage). I wear the very, very lightest shades. Call me Pale Face.
Powder: Clinique's Gentle Light powder. It's a little bit shimmery and I like that. :)
Blush: I use a variety from - of course - Clinique and Lancome.
Eyes:
-I use Touch Tint (Clinique, and Lancome also has Aquatique, which is nice and more matte) under my eye shadow all the time, which is basically a creme (there are shimmery ones and matte ones) that prevents your eye shadow from creasing, makes the color pop, and also makes the shadow last longer.
-Shadows...I LOVE playing with colors. I have a TON of eyeshadows from Clinique and Lancome, and a couple from Estee Lauder although I don't like that line very much (it seems a bit more for the older crowd). I use a huge variety and love experimenting on girls' eyes.
-Liners...my favorite eyeliner would either be Lancome's Artliners which are amazing liquid liners or else Clinique's Kohl Shapers and also the Cream Shapers. I usually wear blacks or browns but I like to switch it up with colorful liners, as well.
-Mascara...I use a different mascara all of the time. I like to start with a lash primer (which is a white-colored mascara that works as a conditioner and "base" beneath your normal mascara), and over that I like High Impact, Lash Doubling, Long and Pretty, and High Definition in Clinique, and Definicils, Definicils Pro, and the new glittery mascara in Lancome.
Eye brow pencil: I use a Lancome one. I hate the extremely penciled-in look, so I make sure to use very fine strokes with it so that it looks natural yet evenly filled in.
Lips: I like Watermelon Lip Smackers (just the normal lip balm), Soft Lips (vanilla), Lancome's Juicy Gelees, and a lot of lip sticks from the same brands that I've been mentioning the entire time. Can you tell which brands I prefer? :P

I love make-up. I suppose I spend too much time on it.

Mineral makeup is in a powder form and doesn't contain anything that's not a natural mineral found in the earth.  Like their foundation only contains Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide, Zinc Oxide, (may contain Ultramarines).  Regular makeup contains a bit of EVERYTHING.

My skin has actually cleared up since I started using mineral makeup, and it covers waaaaaaaaaaaay better than my old liquid foundation.

Check them out if you get bored.  They have a FAQ section and stuff.

Bare Minerals is great, too!

You have to be careful with bare minerals. It contains Bismuth which is known to cause allergic reactions in many people and can enlarge pores.

Oh. It actually helps my skin a lot. When I wear it, it clears up any pimples I have.

Thanks, though. I'll have to keep that in mind.
