Don't think too far in the future. Before you start trying to plot how you are going to get this guy to be your boyfriend, you should try and find innocent ways to get him to be your friend. Getting to know each other is the key thing that will push you guys closer together. Just try not to be super shy in front of him. Be outgoing, and when you see him in the halls, walk up to him and start chatting. It doesn't really matter what you talk about, but as long as you make the effort he will for sure notice you. Once you start getting noticed by him, it will be easier for you to nonchalantly talk to him and be comfortable with him. He will most likely start to give a little back to the friendship, and he will probably start showing a little initiative too. Once you feel like you guys are decent enough 'friends' to hang out solo, there is nothing wrong with asking him if he wants to go see a movie or go out to eat sometime. That trivial alone time is just what you need for him to notice the 'real' you, and for you guys to connect on a more personable level.
With that being said, I know it is much easier said than done, but I really think that if you give him a little attention in the beginning, he will take that attention and make something probable out of it.
