Yes.. hence the definition of autism spectrum disorders. Don't you think that it would have been cured if they could...dumbass

How can you have an opinion about someone's social disability? It can't be helped, people are born like it. The last thing they need is someone criticising them for it!

It's a disease now is it?

And if you know a lot of people with it you would realise that there is a huge diversity of people who don't all have the same difficulties.

Personally, if there was a cure, I wouldn't want it. I may have Asperger Syndrome, but that is a part of who I am now and I don't want to be someone who I am not.

Slow down buddy before you say something else. I've known my fair share of people with Autism and Aspergers and that itself added on to their personality. What right does it give you to change what makes them be who they are? just because it's some "disease." They are capable of learning, and socializing. I've seen it.

It is not a disease.

So rethink again.

It's a disorder, not a disease. You can't catch it or be cured from it, if you have it, you have it. As for it being "unescassary" I don't really think that's the right word to use.

My dad has a mild form of Aspergers, and he lives a totally normally life. He's perfectly happy how he is, so why change it?

I don't buy that "it's part of who they are" bullshit. If someone is suffering from the expression of a learning disability then treating or even curing the problem is exactly the same as treating or curing schizophrenia, cancer, or anything else.

Who said anything about forcing people to be treated?

I'm guessing your experience is with very, very mild autism. I know a lot of people who have either autism as an mld or sld and they're destined to spend the rest of their lives in care.

See most of the time when I head about curing autism I hear people wanting to cure ALL of forms from the mildest to the most severe cases, I think they should absolutely cure the low functioning autism, aka people beating their heads off of walls, being a child their whole lives.
