I'm really not trying to be mean about this but, in proper English, that would have read:(assuming your heading was part of the first sentence. On all my essays I did well on. (or, better still: On all my essays on which I did well.)

But to answer your question, read books. They are proof-read by professionals. Do not read the Internet where no-one can spell or use proper grammar.Get some examples of college level essays and re-write them just for the exercise.
Be very clear in your initial thesis and draw clear lines with logic back to your thesis when you are explaining your viewpoint and facts.
