I hate drinking and parties and I am a social person.  In high school I had friends who did not drink as well.  Its not that I am opposed to drinking I just don't enjoy it.  What to do on the weekends when every thing to do in town requires money and it seems like everyone on the weekends are getting drunk.  Just because I have the opportunity to drink does not mean I will take it.  I just get bored and frustrated when my friends at college only want to drink on the weekends and party.

Don't feel like you are alone. I don't drink either. People find it weird that I can have a good time without being totally wasted. I have never drank in my whole life and surprisingly, I actually want to wait until I can legally sit at a bar and order a drink. Being young and drinking for a good time is to me a waste of life and precious brain cells.

And yet, somehow that doesn't work. If the woman was drunk too, you could be facing some serious jail time for sexual assault or rape. Not to mention any responsibility you might have should she become pregnant from said act of intercourse.

Punching a hole in a wall is destruction of private property. Most people would expect financial restitution, and if they didn't get it, they would turn to the police. And frankly, they should.

The last one isn't even a real example, given the number of circumstances under which it could happen, and the importance of context. But, it seems worth mentioning that being drunk doesn't make people less irate regarding jackassery.

Being drunk is not a get out of jail free card.  If anything, it is the opposite given the potentially elevated legal consequences.

Now, I'm not opposed to drinking. I've done a fair bit of it myself. But you have to be responsible about it, and realize that you can and will be held at fault for any fuck-ups you make while plastered.

its not that I am afraid to drink, I just hate drinking.  I hate being drunk.  You sound like your just irresponsible when you drink.  You can say that all your doing is having a little fun and living a little but you just sound immature.

I punched my friend, something I would never have been forgiven for if I had been sober. Ahem. I don't drink as much any more to be fair. I don't like myself when I'm drunk.
