Fire because your blood begins to boil, and there really is not much to do if your caught in it, while things like cancer you may have a chance to recover from.

I think man-inflicted, because there's no telling what a person will do to you.  It can be quick and sudden, or it can be drawn out and torturous.

i'm not so sure it really matters all that much. you're going to end up dead. but AS it was happening, I don't know. Maybe drowning. I've always had this fear of drowning. I don't know how to explain it, it just seems like a sick torterous death.

Fire. It would be incredibly painful and can take a long time, no fun at all.

This is an extremely morbid thread.

A lot of people seemed to pick burning though. I'd have to agree somewhat, because, well, it would hurt, and you'd probably die of heat and asphyxiation, which is another horrible way to go, and in general, you're pretty much alive until your blood starts to boil over and you start to black out.

But I think the worst is seeing your death. As in, being conscious and sane while you're dying. If you're really old, you can just fall asleep one day and not wake up. If you're in a hospital, dying of a terminal illness, you can ask for major amounts of drugs. When it's something unexpected (i.e, stabbing, shooting, burning, drowning, etc.,) you don't see it until it's too late. It's a pretty scary thought; knowing that you could die at any time.

Like.. I could trip and smash my head against my desk right now as I get up to go eat dinner. Ouch.

I think out of those, burning.  Drowning is actually supposed to be just like falling asleep, though how anyone would know that is beyond me.

The next worst one would be murder.  It would be incredibly bad to die at the hand of another.

In the immortal words of Dane Cook, the worst way to die would be if you dove underwater, and while you were underwater, someone poured oil on the water and lit it on fire. Then you would either die from drowning or fire.

Beheading, for sure.  It is so gruesome but more importantly is very dehumanizing.  If you are going to die, IMO, the most important thing is that it happens to you in a dignifying manner.

Out of those options I'd say terminal disease because you have to suffer for ages. IMO the slower the death the worse it is

I can't really decide between drowning or being burned.

Probably drowning: I just have this awful fear of it. It seems like it would be the most frightening. Sure, they would all hurt, but I think drowning would be so much scarier.

Burning; imagine the pain when you have a minor burn, all over your body but more intense, and it's slow, and you'd suffocate as well.

I dreamed the other night that I died painless, lethal injection. I laid on the platform, unbound and generally comfortable, they gave me the opportunity to say a prayer, I had eaten a decent meal, I was comforted, my life was to be ended administratively.

I knew there would be no pain and no suffering, and I'll be honest, I really believed the dream to be happening in that moment, and I really believed I was going to die and that it would be painless, and as I realized that, I was horrified at the thought of such a submissive and tranquil death.

That is my worst death.

Being burned alive would SUCK. Much more so than drowning or being murdered, in my opinion.

The only thing worse than burning to death would be burning to ALMOST death.
