Well, so far I haven't cut myself for about 19 days now. I know it doesn't seem like a very long time, but it's the longest I've gone without cutting for a very long time. I'm hoping that I can keep it up and not fuck it up. I'm desperate to stop cutting, because I know how much it hurts those that care about me when I cut. Also, I want to stop because I'm worried that someday, I'll cut too deep and seriously injure myself. Wish me luck on keeping this up.

Good luck. It's a very, very hard thing to do. I know that it's the hardest thing that I've ever had to stop. 19 days may not seem like a long time, but that's a huge step, and most likely the hardest one. You just need to keep it up, figure out what triggers you and avoid it, and find other things to do, to get your mind off of it whenever you feel the urge to self-harm. EDIT: Have you heard of The Butterfly Project? It has been a useful tool in helping a lot of people quit.
