I guess they could've tested a 450hp ESX STI ...that would've been fair for the Evo right?

Exactly.
The point is that.. the first test was not fair, they were testing the more powerful EVO vs the normal STI. Only the second test was fair when they tested both at their normal specs.
This discussion is stupid, they're both practically the same car...it only comes down to which one you think looks the best if you're gonna buy one, and I don't believe one is faster than the other.. it comes down to the driver. Can we end this and delete any possible future EVO VS STI topic?

remember these are facory tuned Evos not ones tuned in garages like these STIs you speak of.
But i agree there very similar cars which are made to go head to head with each other, both with advantages in its own right.

remember these are facory tuned Evos not ones tuned in garages like these STIs you speak of.
But i agree there very similar cars which are made to go head to head with each other, both with advantages in its own right.
Once again says the kid whos failed thread he can't let go because the STI was faster in the part of the video he DIDN'T post.
And I own a Scion, why would I fanboy Subaru?

I used to own a Subaru yes, however that has little reason as to why this thread fails. I mean its quite obvious when I posted the REST of the top gear clip that you didn't that actually showed the STI being the better.
