i hate to tell you this, but it sounds like it might be true. The handbook by the New Jersey government literally says that things are decided on a case by case basis taking into account the number on convictions, the severity of them, and the time between them. You already have one and it is pretty recent. i do not know how severe it is considered, but making the same mistake again is probably not a good idea. My information is from Chapter 7 of the New Jersey Drivers Handbook, which is at this link: http://www.state.nj.us/mvc/manuals/chap_07_01.html .
