I feel you. I'm still an 'undecided' major. Hopefully by the end of this year, I'll be declaring. Don't know what though. I too used to have very strong ideas on what I wanted to do and be. When college started, however, I really lost all focus on what I originally wanted, so now I'm back in Stage 1: Figuring out a major.
I am currently working in the Journalism Department at my school. I was talking to many Journalism majors (people who graduated 10+ years ago), and they were all telling me about how Journalism, news media, publications, etc, were all going out...there's not much of a demand for them anymore. If I were you, interested in Journalism, I'd take it as a minor.
The jobs that are going to be in demand in the future, according to what I've read, are those in areas such as Computers, Medical Fields, Teaching (primarily at the college level), and Environmental Science.
If I were suggesting a major to you, it'd be Environmental Science because that's what I'm interested in. But it's all what you're interested in.
