I wont try and give you any links etc as i don't know the best places for these in the US. You would be looking at anything with a 3.5 inch hard disk in it. I personally recommend anything by western digital or Seagate. One very important thing to look for with regards to reliability is that it can stand flat. You should place it flat, plug it in and then never move it from that spot at all. Internal hard-drives have the joy of never having to move, when you start to introduce bumps and knocks you start to let unreliability creep in.
Don't pay any attention to backup software that comes with it, there is always better stuff on the market for free.
