So I don't know how to get certain clips from videos that I want to make a compilation video. What I mean is say I saw something with a clip I wanted on youtube, how do I download it so I could use it in my editing program?

use real media's version 11 program OR vixy.net

Samantha, rarely any sites any more let you just straight download it to your computer, it's all like youtube.

Go to this site, and paste the URL of the Youtube video in question. Choose the format you want Zamzar to convert the video into. Enter your e-mail address, and wait about 5 minutes.
Zamzar will send you a link to the captured video, in the chosen format.
Go to the link. The video should download, already converted to the appropriate format.
