because usually being wrong means you need to do it again.. and i'm too lazy for all that

That does make some sense, for instance, that would be perfectly applicable to schoolwork. But that doesnt explain being corrected. When youre corrected, the right answer is given to you. All that you need to do is make a tiny mental adjustment that reads 'Oh, I was wrong. Well, I guess I know now' Would laziness constitute the answer for being afraid of being wrong in this scenario as well?

Nah, that just sort of changes things because not everyone is afraid of being wrong. In such a situation I wouldn't be upset. I may think the other person is wrong, but that would just start a conversation till we agree on whats right, or not.

A person who throws a titty fit because someone disagrees is too proud. They are also probably stupid.

So, people are afraid of being wrong because theyre stupid?

If so, then most people I know must be less than intelligent.

Grrr. No, people are afraid of being wrong because they are too proud. Pride is a strong emotion, strong emotions overtake logic. Logic says "Oh, I was wrong. Now I know something new though." and logic appreciates the new knowledge. Emotion gets pissed someone is implying they are wrong, it takes it as an insult.

Thus, usually someone who is so blinded by emotion to get angry everytime someone disagrees is probably not all that intelligent.

I would just rather be right.

  Why?

Because if I'm right in the first place then I don't have to worry about being wrong.
Or I don't have to redo some shit.

See the post under you to see what I said about 're-doing things.'

Why would you need to worry about being wrong? I mean this question in both being wrong on a small scale, and a large scale.

Worried was probably misused there haha. I just meant that I would rather be right because everything is a lot easier when you don't have to deal with being wrong.

Why can't people place logic over emotion? Why are they too proud?

btw, I already have my own set of answers to these questions, and I have thought of what you said already, but I merely like to probe minds. Please dont lose patience with my. I sort of inferred impatience from the 'Grrr'. Forgive me if I am wrong in thinking this.

Oh, it's cool then. I just thought you were dense or trolling or something for a second.

While I admit that it may be easier to always be right, wouldnt that be a little too dull? To ALWAYS be right, or be right most of the time? There wouldnt be anything to learn.

Being wrong is much more fun, to a certain degrees anyways. Blind ignorance obviously isnt fun, but new info on moderate amounts is great.
