i want to help people in my community, specifically kids. i heard about this girl who went around to garage sales and got stuffed animals and luggage bags for the kids in foster homes. she'd give a luggage bag and a stuffed animal to each ckild in the system so that they could carry their few clothes and have a companion to have with them. she put containers for money in stores for people to donate, and ended up helping hundreds, maybe thousands of kids. i want to do something like that. i don't want to steal her idea, but i want to do something like that. what else can i do? and, it doesn't specifically have to be kids. that's my main goal, but if you have an amazing idea with older people and such, then i'd love to hear it. (don't say "help at meals on wheels" or "serve at a soup supper" or anything, because that's not what i'm aiming for. i'm looking for something bigger that i can help a ton of kids.) and, if i do find something i can do, how would i go about putting out money containers? would i just make a sign to put on each of them and ask the managers of the places if i could leave the containers in their stores?
