I've noticed two so far at my school.  Im happy they did that no discrimination act.  What do you think they study though?

whatever theyant, disabled people can do most things...just not jobs that require heavy lifting I guess...It depends on the disablity. They can be designers and mathmaticians and scientists and musicans..

unless they are mentally disabled. That sometimes puts a cap on how much they can understand. My brother is mentally disabled and he sorts paper and does beach clean up and lives outside my dads house. He pays rent and owns a cell phone. He just can't drive so he takes the bus.

No idea, I know nothing about them. I'm disabled and I studied the same as everyone else in my school. Infact I studied more that most students being in top sets.

And Joep, you need to know what you're talking about before you even think those kinds of things, never mind voice them.

I think they should have their own special school

That would be discrimination.

Allocating "special" (for want of a better word) schools for people with disabilities is not in the least bit discriminatory. They exist for people who, for a huge variety of reasons, can't get educated in a mainstream school.

If someone who has a disability can attend a mainstream school then good for them, they should. If they can't then it's fantastic that we can offer them quality education tailored to their needs rather than restricting their development with an oppressive one size fits all approach.

As for what subjects they study, how the hell can we possibley guess? Ask them.

There was a girl with severe mental disabilities at my old high school. They spent thousands (probably hundreds of thousands) of pounds building ramps and  a system of lifts so that she could get around, and she simply wasn't capable of understanding the classes she was in. Her mental age was that of a small child.

It was just ridiculous.
