I'd say the American army relies too heavily on fire-power, whereas the British army is much more tactical and disciplined. I'd definitely say the British army is more humanitarian.

British army have always been better trained, occasionally we fall down on equipping our soldiers correctly but mostly you stand a better chance with British training than american
