ok so a chick posted a blog about abortion and it was a locked topic, and i wanted to respond.
if you dont like it then look at something else to read. Abortion in my openion is wrong, and here are my reasons. 1. you have sex- there will be effects- wether they be good or bad. you wanna be a adult and have sex...then deal with the adult effects.
2. i have heard so many stories where the doctor said the child is going to be mentaly retarded. hell, my sister was suppose to die with in a year of being bore, yet she is a totally healthy, straight A (well with a C in math. she sucks at it) and plays vollyball for our school. what if my parents wanted to hav an abortion because they thought she wasn't gonna live? i would not hav a sister.
the fact of that point is you just don't know. I belive in God and that every unborn child has a soul...
and even if you cant belive that, i think that we can all agree in the saying 'everything happens for a reason' Who made u God?
3. My aunt and uncle can not have kids, they want to adopt. tons of pple cant have kids, but they will adopt. adoption is always an option.
4. Abortion i belive is a cop-out. Type in abortion in the google toolbar and clik images...if what you see does not make you sick to your stomach then i doubt u have a heart. 5. i did not post this to piss pple off. i just wanted the other side of the topic to be heard.
6. and i am talking fom experience guys, i was in the doctors office getting ready to have an abortion done and i backed out...i was only 17. 7. oh and if you dont like my opinion...i dont care.

What if the condom breaks, or some other random thing? Plus, if the parents aren't ready for a child, then having one (to keep) would be punishing the child as well as anyone else involved as much as the parents, which isn't fair.

I've never heard that argument made either for or against abortion, so I'm gonna leave it alone.

There are already more than enough orphans to adope, we really don't need any more parentless children. However, I agree, adoption is always an option.

Surely a baby only becomes a "someone" when it develops a nervous system and consciousness.
That's only your opinion. Some will argue that it gains person status at the moment of conception, others at birth. What makes your opinion anymore valid?

you make really good points. i cant argue with you. condomes do break. abortions are nasty. and there are many parentless children. i guess my main statement is:
i belive every baby has a soul, wether its born or not.
Everything happens for a reason.
if you want an abortion, that your bissness, but my tax dollers should not be paying for it.
