I know how you feel. Whenever I'm feeling down I just listen to my favorite songs. I find lots of inspiration in Paramore, but I don't know different lyrics apply to different people.

musicfan is right. a great thing to do when ur upset is to listen to something or talk to someone you KNOW makes you happy. it always works for me :) you should try it and let me kno how it works out for you

For some reason i feel so depressed. I have problems sleeping and i cant go to bed without having a drink really. My mums got Bipolar atm, shes been admitted into hospital:( This was on Friday 13th.. First, I feel for you. Please note that this is not sympathy, but empathy. I think some of your problems might be because of your mother. And I know how that feels. When I was 13, doctors found a tumor in my mom's brain and they gave her 6 months (The typical). She didn't last that long. (wow, this is making me teary). I gained weight. I started losing the hair. Before I knew it, I had gotten into the whole goth scene and just didn't have a sense of reality. So I know how you feel. I recommend you seek professional help because this most def. looks like a bad problem that needs to be delt with. You dont seem to have a strong sense of reality and maybe you are going down the wrong path. Know whats good now? You know where to get help. The smoking and drinking problems will go with some professional help. Just dont give up on yourself. Have some goals in mind. Life is easier with goals. Your biggest goal is some professional help. Even if this is outpatient. Please message me if you need anymore help.

You need to get your mind off your problems. The more you think of it, the more depressed you get and the worse effect it has upon your health. If you can't sleep, try some exercise. Go jogging and take your mp3 player if you have one. Play music as you exercise and concentrate on what you're doing at that very moment. Secondly, you need to seek for professional help. Do you want to have that eating disorder? Do you want to cut? Think of the reasons that are causing you such behavior and realize you need to eliminate all negative things that are causing this in order to get well. Otherwise you're causing yourself even bigger problems. You don't want to turn suicidal, do you? Before you got those problems, how did you feel? Do you want to feel cheerful and positive again? Seek for professional help, talk to a psychologist or anyone. Find a new hobby or get a new pet. Do ANYTHING that would cheer you up. Also, you probably have lots of friends around you who would love to help. But they can't help unless you talk to them about your problems. :) Good luck and I hope you get better soon. Be strong.
