The first reply in a post almost always sets the standards for the post. I mean, if the first poster says something serious, the rest of the posters will say something serious. If the first poster says something stupid, the rest of the posters say something stupid.

If the first poster doesn't like the OP, the rest of the posers act like they don't like the OP even if they do.

If the first poster does like the OP, the rest of the posters act like they like the OP, ect....


Why is that, exactly?
