On April 13th, 2006, I started a shared contract with Sprint, 2 year agreement.

I have 700 minutes, (planning on reducing it to 300 if we can) unlimited text messages, the vision package, etc...

On November 17th, I called and reduced the plan from 1400 minutes to 700 minutes, which extended the length of the contract.

Being as its been more than 2 years, I have $150 off of a new upgrade phone with a 2 year agreement.  I have a couple questions on this.

1.  Are you getting a $150.00 discount on an upgrade to a new phone because I have a 2 year contract, or if I sign up for another 2 year contract?

2.  When I get the $150.00 off, being as there is 2 lines on the contract, do I get $150.00 off total or $150.00 off each phone?  I've had both lines on the contract for the entire length.

3.  Do you have to pay activation fees, upgrade fees, etc...?

150 Each Phone because you will be forced to agree to another contract.

Go with a new carrier, verizon for example. Get a cool phone at a bigger discount than $150.

Yes, you are renewing the contract, yes both phones should be eligible, yes if there are applicable fees.

It should be for each phone. As it is with Verizon.

I don't have the money to cancel the old contract, to buy new phones, pay the activation fees for new phones, start up a new contract, and I already know what phone I want, and Sprint offers it.

You also live in the UK... wonderful.

A regular plan here works out to £25 for a single line... There are many free upgrades available as well as the higher end phones.

What kind of fees will I be looking at?

If your eligible for an upgrade because you've already had your contract for 2 years, when it's up it is up. It won't cost you a dime to cancel.

Signing up for a new service shouldn't cost you anything either, unless your credit sucks.

depends on the phone you get. It shouldnt be much because you already have an active line, you are just transfering it to a new phone. The only big fee I would forsee is if your plan went up because you got a smart phone.

Tax...

You will not have a another activation fee, because your already activated. (Most carriers don't charge activation fees anymore anyway.)

Any kind of ballpark figure that I'd be wanting to look at?

Good point... Don't be stupid like some people and get a blackberry and not realize that you HAVE to add a blackberry data package to it. (Somewhere in the neighborhood of an addition $30 a month.)
