When can a girl be called a woman?
When she develops sexually (period)?
When she reaches a certain age?
Or is it by her life experiences?

What differences are there between a girl and a woman?

I've been asking this since it seems that people have varied opinions on this matter. What do you think?

When she has sex, then she has chosen to accept life's responsibilities.

Since when has having sex indicated that a person has "chosen to accept life's responsibilities?" In too many cases, having sex is anything but choosing to accept life's responsibilities.

To the OP, the distinction between a girl and a woman is generally based on reaching the age of adulthood. That can vary by culture, religion or some other standard. There is no hard and fast rule or definition that applies to all situations.

I consider somebody a woman when she chooses to be mature with situations, such as pregnancy, dating, education, etc.

For example- my friend Meghan who is 17, she has gone through a LOT of experience with stuff (sex, drugs, men). But throughout the years, she hasn't learn a single thing about them. She is still the same person that I met when she was 15. That's what I call a girl.

Age or having a period doesn't affect maturity. It really depends on the reactions you have in certain situations.

It's the same with being a man, really.

It doesn't mean that much to me,
Sometimes I don't mean that much to you
And I don't even know what I'm hiding for...
And I don't even know what I'm crying for...
