i havent seen the movie, but i finished the book today, and i have to write a paper about it. i dont know where to start...

i saw the movie a few months ago and assuming its relevant to the book you could definitely talk about the importance of family and the past.

That was a little over two years ago tho, so I don't really remember the whole thing.
I agree, you should write something about the importance of family, and sharing, and the past.
But also something about how seeing horrible things can affect you greatly, even years afterward. Talk about how it affects the will to live, and how not having people to confide in can cause you to do rash things.
