From what I've gathered..Teenage girls are expected to live up to being 103lbs 5'4 maybe 5'5. You are either supposed to have a stunning brunette hair. or preferably bleach your hair blond. You need to wear low riding jeans that barely show your butt crack, tight shirts to show your body, that shows all your cleavage. Oh did we mention you need to be skinny but manage to have a curvy body? No muffin tops please.

In the end all women will look the same to please the men that make up the "higher" state of fashion. I mean, ya there are girls that are pretty, and considered BEAUTIFUL and PERFECT. But there's 12 other girls in the same city that look exactly like her.

Is that what you want?

I'm 5 foot 2 and i my weight is 113. I don't try to fit in. I ware what i want. I know I'm not fat, and i no I'm not very skinny. But I am myself, I love myself the way i am and i wouldn't change to fit in. I don't show off my body, I wear clothes that are comfy on me... I have brown hair and blue eyes and i love myself the way i am.

I don't believe that.
Beauty is objective, regardless of what people think about "today's corrupted society" (which has been thought about beauty in the past few generations pretty thoroughly anyhow, not just ours).
It's nothing new. I don't buy into what people try and say about today's 'concept' of beauty, when it really comes down to what the person wants. Even if they are influenced by the things around them, they are still mostly influenced by their own objectivity. That counts for more than anything.

I think that you are sterotyping men, becuase they al want something diffrent.
Some of them want the anorexic looking girls, while others like some body to them. Its all a matter of what they like. i think that girls assume thats what guys like because of the media. and guys assume thats what they are suppose to like because of the media,

hey who knows maybe there was this really smart guy who thought that short, plump girls with green hair, and orange eyes were hot, but he didn't want everyone stealing the few in the world, so he made everyone think this is what pretty is

I don't fall into that typical stereotype, and I'm sure that I never will.
I'm not going to go out of my way to impress some guy with the way that I look. I want someone who is going to fall for my mind, and still be in love with the way that I look..just the way that I am now...Which is nothing like your description.

This is a poem I found on the web.
It's a little inspiring.

Beauty- a combination of qualities that pleases the sense of sight.

Is this definition true though?
Is beauty really only for sight?
That phrase: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Is that an insult?
It means that something might be beautiful to one but ugly to the other.

Beauty is only skin deep: a pleasing appearance is not a guide to character.

Is this beauty? What we look like?
No, these are just words. Real beauty comes from the heart.
Real beauty is you. and you. and yes, even you. We are all beautful in one way or the other. Some of us, write music or poetry. We express our beauty thru that. It shows our emotion and our passion. Others, paint, or cook, or dance, or sing, in any of these ways we show our beauty of our talent, our success, our beauty is not on the body, its in it. its mental and emotional. Call me crazy, but this is what i believe. the world makes us think that we have to be thin and have gorgeous hair with the the gorgeous outfit and everything. that is wrong. Beauty is soul.
