and I wouldn't call your parents cheap for not buying satellite Internet because that shit is pretty expensive and not all that reliable.

Some people cant get it.

There is NO broadband available to a few of my friends that live in obscure parts of the county.

Back in the day when we still had 56k here I was still able to PWN people on Rogue Spear.

At one point, couldn't get Roadrunner because we didn't have the right type of fiberoptic cables because the last cable company was too cheap to put them in when they replaced it a few years ago. they also thought hardly anyone out here got on the internet... what idiots. But since Time Warner bought them out, it has completely updated the wires and now we're able to get cable internet!! Such a blessing. Considering we have also looked into DSL- way too expensive. It was ridiculous how much they wanted out here for that. Try going from T3 connection to dial-up... it's like jumping from the stone age to tomorrow's best technology there is. Ridiculous.
