They are cleaner, smarter, and becoming just as popular as dogs.
Pigs! These are a recently created breed of pig called 'Royal Dandies'. I haven't formed a real opinion either way on them yet, but they are a miniaturized version of pot-bellied pigs. Here are some pictures.

They get from 20-70 pounds.

So there you go. A cleaner, smarter and quieter alternative to a dog. And they are just as affectionate and social.

we had a pot-belly pig as a kid.

now we have full size pigs..which arent as much fun to play with.

but supercute as piglets.

My wife is a cleaner, smarter alternative, but thanks.

I actually always wanted a pig when I was a little kid.  I got a goat instead.  He knocked me down and ran away.  Farm animals shouldn't be pets.
