 I've been reading this book called Immortality. And it talks about our Immortal selves. Which is basically what everyone thinks after we pass away. And i was literally crying last night reading this and i've just been thinking about how fake everything is. I keep writing about it.

I can understand people reservedly staying away from sex until in a long term relationship. But the marriage thing is silly in my eyes, exempt from religious conjecture as stated :)

that's b'cause what the OP says has some truth in it. there's always a reason for what a religion practices, and just because someone is Catholic doesn't mean they'll practice or believe every teaching. heck, you don't even HAVE to have a religion to refuse sex until marriage. i just didn't like what you were insinuating.

the original intention of sex is to procreate, right? if you're not ready for the possible responsibilities in raising a child which include having stable finances for a home to live in, food, education, and love, then you shouldn't be risking a possibility. even if you use a condom or other contraceptive there is always a chance biologically for a pregnancy to happen. its in the best intentions for both the parents and any possible children to wait so that the children don't have to suffer from their parent's mistaken lust or impatience. it costs a lot of money to care for a child, and i've explained this from a logical, secular point of view.

The original intent of sex is to procreate. And the original intent of feeding to provide energy for us to survive. Yet, as humans, we usually eat much more than we need to survive and usually eat just for the mere joyous fun of it.

It is up to the two having sex to weigh the pros and cons. There is a risk I will contract of food poisoning yet I still eat. And there is a higher risk that I will gift my partner with pregnancy with with inadequate contraception. But these risks are my own to bear and not yours to judge. I can use foolproof contraception but using such contraception is usually beyond what teenagers are willing to do to avoid pregnancy. Regardless, telling me the risks that I already know won't change the fact that I will keep eating and keep having sex.
