i know a couple that has been together for 2 years. the whole relationship was filled with verbal, mental, and physical abuse. the spend most of their time fighting.

what in the world makes these two miserable people stay together?

i dont undertsand how love can derive fomr a relationship where the gf has numerously physically abused him, and called him disgusting names, spit in his face, got him in trouble with the cops, got him in trouble with his mom, and more crap.,......and then when they are behind closed doors, he apparantly is the abusive one, according to her

i dont understand how love can come from that

they may be in love with the idea of being with each other, but i doubt it's really there in reality

but i can't say i know for sure until i'm in that situation

luckily i'm in a relationship where i'm actually happy and my fiance treats me right
