They are two completely different story lines.

I would probably like the movie a lot more if it weren't meant to be based off of the book.

In the book Rafe and Astrid are the bad guys and she falls in love with Gabriel in the end...
but in the movie Gabriel is the bad guy and she falls in love with Aiden (which by the way is never going to work out.)

They don't have the same plot and that really pissed me off.
