Let say a guy hurts a girl he been dating for a while, she was so upset and hurt inside she left him. But she still kept him in her life, she always visited him on weekeneds and holidays everytime he went into hospital.

Which was a lot because he has a Chronic Illness, but it isn't terminal yet so he always come out. She would call him at least a few times each week whether he in hospital or not to talk to him.

Was it true love that kept her going? Was it pure true love that overcame? Overcame the hurt/pain she had experienced from him to keep him around. She broke up with him over jealousy issue so he didn't ever do her terrible. But do you think she must have had true love and great care for this ex to do what she did?

She may still care for you it could be love it sounds like it to me. But you never know I broke with a guy then visited him in the hospital while he was in ICU after a wreck, only because I was worried about him and loved in a different way.

But it could be that shes still in love with you.

Probably. Although in this situation I think the love would have to fade from romantic love to friendship love. I don't think the girl could keep her romantic feelings for the guy and remain sane.
