I want to know why some straight people think that gay people should remain in the closet. I think that we should be free to come out and not be harassed. I guess these straight people have internal homophobia so thats why they dont want gays to stay in the closet

I don't think straight people keep gay people in the closet. The society we live in is still not 100% LGBTQ "friendly" therefore coming out randomly would isolate the person. I am an Ally, just because i'm straight doesn't mean i don't want gay people to be gay. You can't generalize straight people just like you wouldn't want to be generalized as a gay person. Coming out is a tough issue because some people still find it taboo, it's our generation that has come to accept it compared to a generation or two back. Don't play the blame game, and worry about yourself.

No, really it's not "stereotypical" it's true. There are other ways to go about trying to get positive attention from society then flaunting your gayness everywhere. I don't believe in Gay Pride parades because their community shouldn't have to place themselves at that level to get attention and be proud of themselves in society. They can functional normally WITHOUT this shit. I suppose you didn't get what the world "subtle" means. Excuse for me expecting logic here once again.
