So yeah, I don't really know why. Kind of getting tired of all the problems with the U.S. So I'm just curious, what would be the "best" city? In your personal opinion?

OP has grass is greener syndrome.

i'd hate to live in a country where my government did my thinking for me in regards to what kind of media is suitable for me.

i do recall a case of the government banning games/films etc due to violence/similar. even england hasn't crossed that line yet.

Nah they havnt... but they can arrest anyone they want without any proof of pirating and downloading stuff illegally. give them fines and on a 3rd stroke jail time. all without any court case. and proof needed.  and well thats pretty damn bad to

I'd go for Ireland or Australia if it were me.

I moved from Canada to Germany four months ago, and it seemed like a great idea at the time. The first couple of months were very difficult, trying to adjust to all the differences. I know I haven't been here for that long, but I've seen a lot of the country already.

I'm living in East Germany, but have spent quite a lot of time in the west, and would definitely, definitely, definitely suggest that (if you do move) you go to West Germany.

Munich is a really beautiful city in Bayern, but in the south of Germany they have really thick dialect.

Of all the cities I've visited in Germany (Munich, Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden, Dusseldorf, Essen, Dortmund, Erfurt and Leipzig, among others) my favorite was Essen. Not so huge, only 500 000 people, but a great city.

Honestly my advice would be don't move to Germany, but if you're going to, hope this helps.

Well why would you not suggest Germany?
