I've been trying to do this problem for hours!!! i dont know how to do it and its VERY important i do it and turn it in. Please help

the problem is

Use the identities tan 0= sin 0/ cos0 to simplify 1 - cos(squared) 0

Thank you SO SO SO much... I've tried google, looking it up in my book, I've asked my mom for help. I just cant figure it out

since sin^2 + cos^2= 1

1 - cos^2 = sin^2

what's that zero doing on the end, is it supposed to be =0?
