This is my third year of college, and I can't remember one instance when I felt homesick. It's not as if I live close either; quite the opposite, in fact. I liked my high school friends, but they were all mostly immature. It's not as if I hate my parents, but I don't seem to miss them much. When I hear people wishing to go home and hating coming back on campus after breaks, I seriously don't know where they're coming from. Any thoughts?

I'm in high school, but I go to a boarding school a good ways away from where I live, and I feel the same way. I just like it better at school than at home, and I don't like to go back. Maybe it's just that you're ready to be on your own now, and you like the freedom.
