Why worry? if something actually does go wrong you'd be dead before you know it.

Assuming that the earth would be destroyed after being sucked into a black hole.

Lol, this is the millionth board I've seen on this...
We could die, we could not. =)

no, we can't.

They might produce MINI black holes. IN A VACUUM. They are super super tiny and die out nearly instantaneously. They are of, almost literally, no risk whatsoever.

There is a minuscule change that something larger will form, or that the small ones will bind together, but we are more likely to be hit by a rogue asteroid.

I don't understand why everyone is so worried about this.

If EVERYONE on Earth is going to die, who cares?  My biggest fear about dying is leaving the ones I love behind - but if they're all dead to, what's the fear?

Do you fear simply dying?  Even if everyone on the planet dies with you?

Maybe it's not fear but the fact that you know you won't be able to do everything you wanted to do or everything you like because it's all about to end.

most black holes are in a vacume

Depends on what you consider a vacuum.

A vacuum to us is much different than a vacuum to a black hole. To a black hole [assuming it is the size of most typical black holes] the vacuum of space isn't really a vacuum at all. There is energy floating around everywhere, solar winds providing energy, and all sorts of collections of particles and masses that feed it. Vacuum? not really.

To a micro black hole, in a vacuum the size of the CERN accelerator, there is nothing for it to feed on. Not only that, but the size of the hole dictates the speed at which it will close up [kind of like the wirlpools in a pool when you run your hand through the water]. The sizes of the micro black holes that could be created would be so small that the time it would take to close up would be almost immeasurable.
