I prefer rock over anything else.
Mostly, I like gothic, alternative, and metal. What I personally like more than anything is Evanescence, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Disturbed, Emilie Rose and Lacuna Coil.
I also like some classical music as well. The two I've really listened to is Nox Arcana and Midnight Syndicate.

Of course, I do like some of the more well-known music as well. If it sounds good to me, I'll listen to it.
In my opinion, rap is really only good for the instrumentals. It's something that I could dance to. I'm not fond of the lyrics at all.

i prefer rock to rap.. there are a few rap songs i like, i don't mind the Black Eyed Peas.  'Where is the Love' is an awesome song.

I think Rock is better than rap.
